Underground
In the heart of Portugal, amidst the rugged terrain and ancient landscapes, I embarked on a photographic journey that led me deep into the bowels of a Wolfram mine. It was here, within the earth's embrace, that I discovered a world both haunting and poetic, a realm where the whispers of history mingled with the quiet cries of the earth itself. The raw textures and intricate patterns etched into the mine's surfaces are a testament to the earth's capacity for creation, even in the most austere environments. In the mineral veins that traverse the stone, I discerned the veins of history, where the narrative of labor, endurance, and the passage of time converges. In these photographs, I endeavor to capture the elusive essence of the Portuguese Wolfram mine, to share its untold stories, and to ignite the imagination with the poetry of its existence. It is my hope that, through these images, viewers may find themselves transported into the very heart of this enigmatic place, where the earth's whispers resonate through the ages.
